Why SpringHill?

Why we do what we do

Creating life-impacting experiences since 1969.

For 50 years, we've created experiences that have enabled young people to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through His message of grace, hope, and love. Everything we do focuses on teaching these messages to kids through faith and fun.

Our mission

To glorify God by creating life-impacting experiences that enable young people to know Jesus Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him.

How we do what we do

The SpringHill Way has been applied to creating experiences and programs to impact the lives of young people.
Every aspect of the SpringHill experience is designed to fulfill specific spiritual growth outcomes. Our philosophy and principles are proven effective, transferable, and scalable.

These six ingredients make the SpringHIll Way unique.

God immersed

We believe that God through Christ works to change the lives of young people, not programming or planning.

Embracing

We welcome all, regardless of where an individual is at spiritually, emotionally, physically, or socio-economically.

Innovative

We specifically design our programs and facilities to be creative, relevant, and fun and to provide challenging experiences that kids typically do not have at home.

Integrated

We make no distinction between faith and fun to help kids discover spiritual truth inside everyday experiences.

Staff selection

We have hired the most amazing and caring staff who are spiritually, mentally, and emotionally mature to ensure that your child is not only in good hands, but in good hearts.

Each staff member has been personally interviewed, reference checked, and background checked before they ever interact with anyone.

Staff receives 40-80 hours of intensive job specific training so that every aspect of camp is safely and efficiently run.

To assure the best experience at camp, we keep our overnight camper to counselor ratio at 7:1, and even lower for younger kids at 5:1.

Our staff is what makes SpringHill different!

Educational method

Our counselors and activity staff use a variety of methods to appropriately communicate spiritual truths, including morning devotions, skits, teachable moments, interactive Bible lessons, and campfires.
